THE ROMEOVILLE BRAVES DEFEAT ST. JOE’S – AC MORAN 13-1 BACKED BY ANOTHER SOLID PITCHING PERFORMANCE TO GO 2-0 ON THE YOUNG SEASON.
The Romeoville Braves coasted to an easy victory over St Joe’s Moran AC 13-1 on Monday. The Braves got things started early in the first inning when they scored their first run when Logan Repotowski singled. The Romeoville Braves plated five more runs in the third inning as the offensive onslaught came from groundouts by Josh Madeja and Jaden Sanneman, a walk by Nick Abraham, and then a single by Repotowski. Vinny Sabal led things off on the mound for the Romeoville Braves as he worked two innings allowing zero hits, zero runs while striking out three. Logan Repotowski was called upon in relief and worked three innings allowing one earned run on two hits while striking out 8 batters. Charlie started the game for St Joe’s Moran AC. He allowed three hits and four runs over one inning, striking out two. Baranski, Eberly, and Kasper each contributed in relief for St Joe’s Moran AC. The Braves as a team tallied ten hits. Logan Repotowski, Nathan Sanchez, and Jesse Rosales each collected multiple hits for the Braves. Repotowski led the Romeoville Braves while going 3-3. Lathan Cruz led the Braves with three stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with 14 stolen bases. With their second win in two games, the Romeoville Braves are looking real solid as they have allowed only two runs in their first two games of the 2019 season. Solid pitching backed by stellar defense are two of the reasons for their early success.
